Alina Bliumis Exhibition – Foreign Bodies
Alina and Jeff Bliumis are part of a group exhibition at Set Gallery in Gowanus (Brooklyn). Each artist in this exhibition is evoking a body or a stand in for the body, and the bodies on view are ethnic, distorted, chaotic, ambiguously gendered. But each artist examines the body through his or her own lens.
The show also features work by Vydavy Sindikat, Yevgeniya Baras, and Irina Danilova.
Read more about the work here.
Opening reception will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 7-9pm at the Gallery, with an after-party at Barbes (376 9th Street)
