A three-day retreat for a group of international artists. March 3-5. Come join us to learn, build, connect, and create.
We are pleased to be bringing together sixty-seven multi-disciplinary emerging Jewish artists from around the world to learn from industry professionals, working artists, and from each other.
Check out our participants at -->www.asylumartistretreat.org -->!
We will be creating a global community of Jewish artists, and we want you to join us! Whether you’ve previously explored Jewish topics in your work, or are looking for an opportunity to delve into this area, this retreat will allow you to explore and deepen your connection to Jewish ideas, culture, and community, with an international group of like-minded artists.
We want visual artists, playwrights, choreographers, musicians, composers, photographers, filmmakers, screenwriters, poets, and writers! We are looking for artists from all disciplines who are working at a high level of excellence, and are dedicated to pursuing a professional career as creators of new works. Professional skill-building workshops will help you develop concrete skills that will lead to a more successful long-term career in the arts, and we hope the personal and professional relationships you’ll create over the three-day retreat will lead to new, exciting collaborations and opportunities.
This retreat is a Connection Point organized by the Six Points Fellowship, in partnership with ROI Community, a global network of Jewish innovators.
***Applications are now closed. Thank you to all of you who applied, and we hope there will be many opportunities in the future to bring together even more like-minded artists!***
Who is the Six Points Fellowship?
We believe that creative expression is essential to Jewish community, identity, and meaning. The Six Points Fellowship was created to support the artists who explore these ideas. Through a two-year fellowship program, we support individual artists who are developing new projects with a Jewish focus, theme, or element. This program provides a living stipend, financial project support, professional development workshops, and ongoing peer and professional-led learning opportunities. Over the past six years, we’ve supported thirty artists in both NY and LA, and will apply the knowledge we’ve gained to make this retreat invaluable to both your career and creative journey.
What is ROI?
ROI Community is a global community of Jewish innovators created by Lynn Schusterman. ROI connects dynamic, creative Jews and gives them the tools, support and space to turn their ideas into innovative work that will change the face of Jewish life today and tomorrow. ROI Community conferences, Connection Points, professional development, mentorship opportunities and financial support empower ROI members as leaders, activists and change-agents in shaping the Jewish future.
