A series of illustrations depicting various Jewish traditions and biblical characters, inspired by the golden age of cartooning.

A site-adaptive dance-theater event examining the cultural construction of memory of historical events, referencing Holocaust survivor Ida Fink’s story “The Key Game.”

Corrie Siegel
An exploration of Jewish identity through the visual language of cartography and micrography.

Jessie Kahnweiler
A comedic web series chronicling a young woman who searches the Los Angeles Jewish community in an effort to discover her inner Chutzpah.

Jonas N.T. Becker
A video installation investigating the Jewish narrative of annihilation and exodus through the lens of contemporary myths and experiences of the apocalypse.

Sasha Perry
A short documentary film that explores the complex relationship between religion and gender identity, told through the stories of those living in the divide.

Paul Ratner
A short fiction film focusing on the real-life tale of Don Solomono, a Jewish German immigrant who became the leader of a Native American tribe.

Yelena Zhelezov
A series of participatory explorations of pedestrian Los Angeles, as walked by immigrants from the former Soviet Union.

Tali Tadmor
A cabaret show-turned-dance party exploring the Yiddish Swing culture in Los Angeles in the 1940’s.

Netta Yerushalmy
By examining the notion of makom (“place” in Hebrew, but also one of God’s names), and evoking the ideas of dwelling and displacement, this dance project explores the relation between different locations and the moving body, specifically in New York and Tel Aviv.

Oded Hirsch
An epic video that explores biblical narratives while reconstructing the pioneering spirit of the Zionist movement, using hundreds of kibbutz members to enact and create the video.

Alicia Jo Rabins
An experimental rock opera about the spiritual implications of the current financial crisis, examining the figure of Bernard Madoff (and the system he represents) through the lens of rabbinic Jewish texts about financial ethics, the meaning of wealth, and the inevitability of cycles.

Sylvan Oswald
A darkly comic play that will use the structure of rabbinical commentary to tell three interwoven stories about the human capacity for destruction.

Hadassa Goldvicht
A multi-channel video composition drawing from Hassidic lingual rites of passage ceremonies, and revolving around the embossment of ritual in our bodies and daily gestures.

Judd Greenstein
“Shlomo” is an evening-length exploration of the life of King Solomon, written for Judd’s 14-person band / contemporary music ensemble, The Yehudim.

This new play will translate the anti-Semitic medieval perception that Jewish men menstruated into a provocative, 20th century thriller.

A graphic novel and monthly zine based on the “Bintel Brief” section of the The Yiddish Forward, including interactive online elements, workshops, and new Bintel Brief letters.

A chamber opera about Salomon Sulzer’s life and intrigues within 19th century Viennese society, drawing from classical sources and Judith’s experimental band Platz Machen.
