Judd Greenstein’s Shlomo at the Ecstatic Music Festival

Six Points Fellow Judd Greenstein premiers a section of Shlomo, the beginnings of his Six Points project, with his new 14-person ensemble, The Yehudim, led by the ethereal, Moscow-born vocalist Olga Bell. In addition to a performance of Greenstein’s Shlomo, Bell will present a series of new collaborative arrangements of songs from her debut album, along with members of The Yehudim.

Judd Greenstein Kicks off the Ecstatic Music Festival

On January 17, NOW Ensemble will appear as part of the kickoff Marathon Concert for the Ecstatic Music Festival, a 14-concert series of collaborations between artists working in the fertile ground between classical and non-classical musics curated by our fellow Judd Greenstein. That description definitely includes NOW Ensemble, presenting their collaboration with Corey Dargel and the concert premiere of Judd’s City Boy. The 14-concert festival kicks off with a FREE 7-hour marathon on Monday, January 17, 2011 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) from 2-9 pm. Subscriptions and single tickets for the rest of the festival are on sale now!
