Silver and Ash imagines Clare’s grandmother’s life in Germany from her birth in 1919 to her escape to Memphis, Tennessee of all places in 1938. Clare ventured to the homes of her ancestors in Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Ukraine to research her grandmother’s story and construct this stunning album produced by Grammy nominee Tucker Martine.
